Kendrick Lamar – DAMN ( Review )

Kendrick Released His 4th Studio Album On April 14th Titled ” DAMN. With Kendrick Releasing A Surprise Track The Heart Part 4, He Gave A Warning Saying ” Y’all Got Till April The 7th To Get Y’all Sh*t Together. With That Bold Statement On The 7th Kendrick Didn’t Come Threw. However On The 14th Of April Kendrick Would Release His Anticipated Project DAMN, And With 2 Back To Back Classic Albums Over His Head, He May Be Approaching A Third.

The Album Starts Off With Kendrick Trying To Help A Struggling Woman Who Ends Up Drawing A Gun And Killing Him. One Key Point About This Album Is That Kendrick Seems To Be Telling Many Stories & Showing Emotions To A lot Of Different Topics. Kendrick Showed A Different Side To All Topics & Is unbiased Threw out The Whole Project. Another Point To Pay Attention To Is The Passion He Pours Into His Stories. Tracks Like ” FEAR, Where Kendrick Shows The 3 Stages Of His Life At 7 Years Old Dealing With Domestic Violence, 17 Years Old Fearing If His Life Would End At A Young Age & 27 Years Old Showing A Lack Of Motivation & Depression Trying To Create ” To Pimp A Butterfly As Well As A Fear Of Losing Everything He’s Worked For, Or With One Of The Most Life Changing Tracks For An Artist ” DUCKWORTH Which Explains The Story Of How Top Dawg The CEO Of TDE, Robbed A KFC Where Kendrick’s Father Worked At And Not Killing Him. Which Says If Top Dawg Would Have Killed Kendrick’s Father, There Probably Would Not Be A King Kendrick For Anyone To Talk About.

Two Songs That Satisfied Me Was ” Loyalty & Love. Since Kendrick’s Second Album I’ve Been Waiting For A Passionate, Affectionate Slow Song For A Long Time, Loyalty & Love Really Moves The Listener In A Good Way. One Of My Favorite Tracks On The Album Is ” Element Where Kendrick Shows How Dominate He Is In The Rap Game While Saying If Anyone Speaks The Name Of Kendrick There Will Be Consequences. DAMN Is An Amazing Body Of Work, It Shows Love, Ruthless Aggression, Passion, Glory, & Emotion. The Only Problem I Had With This Project Was The Amount Of Times Kendrick Would Change The Paste Of The Entire Song, Which Was One Of The Problems With DNA & XXX.

DAMN Deserves A Solid 9/10 For An Amazing Body Of Work, Great Legendary Production & Features & For Honestly A Phenomenal Story. Kendrick Proves Why He Is One Of The Best Rappers To Ever Live.

How Did You Feel About The Album ? Did You Love It ? Did You Hate It ? Leave A Comment & Share Your Opinion. Thank You For Reading Slum Music !!
