Wale – SHINE ( Review )

on

Wale Released His 5th Studio Album On April 28th 2017 Titled, SHINE. The Album Was Delayed For Almost A Year And In My Opinion Was Presented In A Very Sloppy Way. On May 20th 2016 Wale Released His First Single “PYT, Which Was Very Late For An Album In 2017, But With That Being Said Wale Showed He Can Still Play Both Sides Of The Field With Hip-Hop & R&B Which Impresses Me In Many Ways.

The First Track On The Album Is A Smooth Relaxing Track Titled ” Thank God, Where Wale Shows A Positive Side Where He Wishes His Enemies The Best In There Lives & Hopes They Do Not Fail. Wale Has Many Future Hits On This Album Like, Fine Girl, Fish & Grits, And I Feel An Award Winning Hit, My Love. Fine Girl Is A Groovy Track To Dance Too With A Loved One, Which Presents A Vibe That Would Put Anyone In A Great Mode. Fish & Grits Switches The Paste To A Heavy Hip-Hop Sound With Travis Scott, Which In My Opinion Is One Of The Best Tracks On The Album. There Is 1 Particular Song On SHINE That I Feel Is One Of The Best Tracks I’ve Heard From Wale Called ” My Love. My Love Is An Amazing Uplifting Track That Puts You In A Loving Mood & In My Opinion Is A Track That Could Put Wale In A Position For A Grammy Or Many Awards In The Future.

How This Album Was Published Was Horrible In Many Ways. I Really Didn’t Like That Wale’s Label Released PYT In 2016 & Released It On SHINE A Year Later. Also His Next Single, Running Back Was Not A Good Track To Promote For A New Album, Then With No Promotion Or Build Up It Seems There Was Nothing Else To Do But Drop The Album. I Really Liked This Album & I Feel It Has The Potential To Rise From Where It Is At, But The Marketing Strategy That They Presented Was Not Good.

Wale Deserves A Solid 7/10 For An Impressive Body Of Work, Great Lyrics, An Amazing Blend Of Different Genres Of Music & For A Motivational Sound. Wale Has Proven To Me That He Still Has What It Takes To Become One Of The Best in Hip-Hop.
